About the St. Louis Women's HOPE Chorale:
We are an auditioned ensemble of singers committed to artistic excellence in the performance of choral music for women's voices.  Central to the mission of the Chorale is the desire to affirm women within the Chorale and the community by
  • Accepting singers of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
  • Fostering an atmosphere that engenders respect, positive interpersonal relationships, and enjoyment of music
  • Supporting young women who are pursuing careers in music by offering paid positions through the Young Artist Awards
The Chorale was founded in 1995 and had performed throughout the United States, including Carnegie Hall in 2005, and has toured and competed internationally, placing third in the female choir category at the 1999 International Musical Eisteddfod in Sales.  Our most recent trip outside the US was a concert tour of Italy in 2003.
In 2010 the Chorale became Ensemble in Residence at Maryville University, a mutually beneficial collaboration resulting in more diverse Chorale membership and intentional investment in musical causes.
